Nana Visitor (Kira) has joined the cast of Babysitter Wanted, a new thriller starring Matt Dallas, Sarah Thompson and Kristen Dalton.

Visitor will play the devoutly religious mother of Thompson's character, who leaves her small town girl for college and takes a job as a babysitter to make ends meet, according to Yahoo!

The film is being produced by Big Screen Entertainment Group and lists two directors at the Internet Movie Database, Michael Manasseri and Jonas Barnes, with the latter credited as screenwriter.

"We're thrilled to have Nana join our already stellar cast," said David Zappone, the president of BSEG, who called himself a life-long Star Trek fan and added, "It's especially exciting to work with someone who has played such an integral part in that franchise."

Other cast members include Bruce Thomas, Bill Moseley and Scott Spiegel, with the latter playing a cameo role as a doctor. Principal photography is underway for Babysitter Wanted.

Though no release date has been announced, fans of Visitor can see her currently in the third season of Wildfire, where she plays Jean Ritter on the ABC Family series.
