'Singularity' photo - courtesy All About Star Trek, copyright Paramount PicturesUPN Wednesday night released the trailer for next week's Enterprise episode, entitled 'Singularity'.

In the episode, the crew begins to react strangely when the NX-01 enters a trinary star system with a black hole.

ON UPN WEDNESDAY

[Text: 'Wednesday']

A MYSTERIOUS DISEASE PARALYSES 'ENTERPRISE'

[The camera pans across the bridge, showing crew members slumped over their consoles.]
[The words 'Mysterious Disease' flash onto the screen.]
[Enterprise is struck by a flash of energy from the singularity.]
[T'Pol supports Archer as she pulls him to his feet.]
T'Pol: (off-screen) "Captain Archer, your crewmen are dying."
[Mayweather grimaces as his face falls forward onto his console.]
[Phlox lies motionless on the floor in sickbay.]
[T'Pol presses her face to the shower glass.]
T'Pol: "Do you understand?"
[Archer lies slumped in his shower, water completely soaking his clothes.]

THE CAPTAIN HAS ONLY ONE CHANCE TO SAVE THEM

[The camera pans over the bodies of crew members lying motionless in the corridor.]
[The words 'One Chance' flash onto the screen.]
[In sickbay, a crewmember is placed under the medical scanner.]
[T'Pol talks to Archer, who is slumped on the floor.]
T'Pol: "Someone needs to pilot Enterprise."
[Enterprise flies at warp.]
[Archer shakes his head.]
Archer: "I'm in no condition..."
[T'Pol works at the computer in her quarters.]
[Archer continues talking with T'Pol.]
Archer: "...to fly a starship."
[T'Pol presses a cup into Archer's shaking hands.]
T'Pol: "We have no other choice."
[Close-up of Archer at the helm console.]
[Archer is thrown backwards as Enterprise is hit; he holds onto the helm's 'joystick'.]
