Current Shatner Projects

In his new Just for Variety column at the Daily Variety, Amy Archerd writes about several new projects William Shatner (James T. Kirk) will be involved in. Take a look:

  • Just over a year ago, Shatner's wife Noreen died, and Shatner is currently establishing the Noreen Shatner Friendly House to rehab young people.

  • He will be starring in the upcoming comedy 'Shot or Be Shot', produced by Ralph Winter. Winter previously served as associate producer on 'Star Trek III: The Search For Spock' and as executive producer on the last three TOS-only films, including 'Star Trek V: The Final Frontier', which Shatner directed.

  • And speaking of directing, Shatner is currently prepping his own new film entitled 'Groom Lake', dealing with UFOs.

  • As was to be expected, he will again be shooting commercials for PriceLine.com, though, honouring the Screen Actors' Guild strike, he won't be doing so until the strike is over.

  • Finally, he is still involved with the Hollywood Charity Horse Show, and, as previously reported, he will be receiving a Distinguished Achievement award at the BevWilshire from the Covenant House this weekend.

A bit more can be found in the full column. Thanks go out to Cinescape for this!
