Details of extras and a complete list of episodes for the Fan Collective DVD set Captain's Log, due out this month, have been released by CBS Home Entertainment.

TV Shows on DVD has released the full information on the set, presented in full screen with English 5.1 Surround, English Stereo and English subtitles. Each of the five discs focuses on one series, beginning with the original Star Trek and ending with Enterprise.

The first disc features an introduction by William Shatner (Kirk) and discussion of "The City on the Edge of Forever" with Shatner and co-star Joan Collins. The other two episodes on this disc are "The Enterprise Incident" and "Balance of Terror" - both chosen by fans, and both incidentally concerning dealings with the Romulans. Bonus features include "What Makes a Good Captain?" and an examination of Kirk's Legacy.

Captain Picard is the subject of the second disc. Patrick Stewart introduces the episode "In Theory", which is followed by fan choices "Chain of Command" and "Darmok", both introduced by Stewart. The bonus features take advantage of Stewart's theatrical background with a brief documentary on "Star Trek and the Stage."

Deep Space Nine is represented by Avery Brooks (Sisko), who introduces the episode "Far Beyond the Stars"; other installments are "In the Pale Moonlight" and series finale "What You Leave Behind". The features include examinations of Sisko as a father and as Emissary to the Bajoran people, as well as a look at Brooks directing Star Trek episodes.

Captain Janeway of Voyager is represented by "Counterpoint", "The Omega Directive" and "Flashback", all introduced by Kate Mulgrew. Features include examinations of Captain Janeway's best qualities, a look at Janeway's future and reflections on what makes a good captain.

The Enterprise episodes, "Judgement", "First Flight" and "These are the Voyages", include introductions by Scott Bakula, while the features discuss the importance of 'The Captain's Log' and a closing statement for the DVD set by the Captain Archer actor.

Star Trek - Captain's Log Fan Collective may be pre-ordered now for July 24th release from Amazon.com.
