  • Starlog reports that linguist Marc Okrand, who developed the Klingon language, also created the Atlantean language for Disney's new 'Atlantis: The Lost Empire' film.

  • And also according to Starlog, René Auberjonois wil be providing his voice talent for next year's season of the cartoon series Justice League of America, voicing one of the bad guys.

  • The Federation Science Exhibit, a travelling exhibition explaining Star Trek technology like the Warp Drive or the Transporter Room, will soon be moving from the London Science Museum to the Hancock Museum in Newcastle, England. According to a Reuters article on the movie, the exhibit attracted close to 65,000 visitors during its 8-month stay.

  • According to an article in the Army Times, the US Army is still working on developing a tricorder-like device. Researchers already developed the Chemlab, a Palm Pilot-sized device able to detect a range of biological agents and decode their DNA signatures. Thanks go out to the Great Link for this!

  • Psi Phi has been updated with the credits for last week's new Voyager episode, 'Homestead.'

  • According to a Variety article by John Dempsey, WWF chairman Vince McMahon said he had sounded out the WB about possibly airing games of the struggling XFL football league next year. Though this would certainly be an unexpected way for the WB to fill its schedule now that UPN seems to be taking over half of its shows, a spokesman for the network said firmly that "the WB is not interested in getting the rights to the XFL."

  • Totally Kate has been updated with two new pages of photos of Kate Mulgrew from the recent Grand Slam IX convention in Pasadena, as well as some from the RanDoM Flight cruise.

  • The Official Jeri Lynn Ryan Homepage is promising some "fantastic news" to be made in a special announcement this Thursday.

  • The latest issue (Volume VI, Issue 7) of the Optical Data Network newsletter has been released, containing a round-up of all the recent Trek news.

  • The new issue of the British science fiction magazine TV Zone features a special look back at Star Trek: Voyager. The 100-page issue will contain several interviews with the main stars. Thanks go out to Mark Beer for this!
