With the February sweeps now having started, Voyager finally seems to have left the disappointingly low ratings from mid-January behind, with 'Prophecy' again rising above the ratings earned by 'Repentance'.

According to a report now available at the Star Trek Nielsen Ratings Information Database, 'Prophecy' took in a 3.0 rating / 5 share:

As was to be expected after the higher overnight ratings, 'Prophecy' continued Voyager's recent ratings improvement, though not as much as we might have hoped for. The episode scored a 3.0 rating / 5 share, which is a tenth of a ratings point higher than last week's episode, and also the highest rating a regular Voyager episode has scored since 'Body and Soul'.

Last year's first February sweeps episode was 'Tsunkatse', which scored a 4.1 rating, but of course with the special guest appearance of The Rock that turned out to be Voyager's highest-rated episode of the season. After that episode, Voyager's ratings began to decline to the 3.2 scored by 'Spirit Folk', so if from now on Voyager's ratings start climbing again it might actually be able to match those later ratings. Certainly the 'Workforce' two-parter should help in that.

Also now available is the overnight rating for 'The Void', yesterday's new episode. Overnight ratings represent the top 47 markets in the country, and for Voyager are often a lot higher than the final nationwide ratings. As last week, Voyager scored a 4.9 rating / 7 share:

As usual, Voyager was fifth for the hour, ahead of the WB's 'Jack & Jill' (2.6/4). For a change, Fox was fourth again, airing a special Barbra Streisand concert, which took in a 7.3/11. Unfortunately, the lack of a 'Temptation Island' installment did not seem to lead to many more people to watch Voyager this week. Then agian, overall television viewership was down a bit compared to last week yesterday, probably due to it being Valentine's Day, so it is at least a good sign that Voyager still attracted as many viewers as the night before.

The full overnight ratings report can be found here, while the full national ratings report for 'Prophecy' can be found here.
