After the Vulcan arc brought Star Trek: Enterprise's ratings up to end 2004, 2005 began with a drop in the fast national numbers.

Zap2It reports that Enterprise brought in a 1.9 rating/3 share for UPN last night. These numbers mean that 1.9% of American households with televisions were estimated to have tuned in to "Daedalus", representing 3% of homes watching television during the 8 p.m. hour.

These numbers are the same as the fast nationals for "The Forge", which began the Vulcan arc, but lower than those for "Kir'Shara", which brought in a 2.1/4 in the overnights and held onto those numbers in the final ratings.

UPN continued to trail the other five networks for the night, finishing last with a 1.5/2 rating. NBC's Dateline won the 8 p.m. hour, followed by Joan of Arcadia, while the WB's What I Like About You and Grounded For Life finished ahead of Enterprise. CBS won the night in overall fast national ratings while ABC won the adult demographic.

A more complete report on the fast national ratings report is at Zap2It.
