Fans will be able to see The Menagerie on the big screen for the first time, with changes in the special effects to update the classic original series episode.

The film will feature an introduction by Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry, and also a half-hour behind-the-scenes look at the making of the remastered series. Roddenberry, who is working on a documentary to be titled Trek Nation, spoke recently with Star Trek.com regarding the remastering project.

"It all looks great," said Roddenberry. "As long as they don't change the intent of the scene, or put in stuff that wasn't supposed to be there, I'm good."

The Menagerie will be screened at over three hundred theaters thoughout the United States and Canada. For more on the release, head over the the article at Star Trek.com
