UPN has announced that Star Trek: Enterprise will move to Friday nights as of August 6th, and introduced a new reality show, The Player, set to launch the same week.

The Futon Critic reported that The Player would begin broadcasting on Tuesday, August 3rd at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, joining Amish in the City - which launches on Wednesday nights beginning July 28th - as the network works over the summer to recruit new viewers.

Star Trek: Enterprise officially moves to Fridays on August 6th with a rerun of the episode "Hatchery." Throughout the month, the show's reruns will precede encore presentations of Amish in the City episodes. No fall season premiere date has yet been announced.

The Player is described by UPN as "a sexy, funny, one-hour relationship series set in the bling-bling world of mansions, cool cars, and VIP parties." It focuses on a Miami model and her girlfriends as they put 13 men through their paces in a competition for dates with the model.

More details are available at The Futon Critic.
