Army Archerd, in his latest column for the Daily Variety, has printed a staggering list of all the projects LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge) is currently involved in. Here's a summary:

  • Burton will co-produce a documentary about a legendary performance by Marian Anderson at the Lincoln Hall on Easter Sunday, 1939. The other producer of the documentary is Tim Kittleson, head of UCLA's Film and Archives Department, the entity responsible for the docu.

  • The 18th season of his 'Reading Rainbow' series on PBS will launch on the 18th of May with the installment 'Shaman's Apprentice', filmed in the South American jungle.

  • He's currently preparing a Movie of the Week for Columbia Tri-Star, which he will direct as well as star in, together with Whoopi Goldberg (Guinan) and Alfre Woodard (Lily Sloane). The movie is called 'The Watsons go to Birmingham.'

  • Finally, Archerd reports Burton is developing five features, six other Movies of the Week, and three series, all presumably under the banner of his Eagle Nation Films company.
