DVD Movies Collection - courtesy Region 2 Project, copyright Paramount PicturesParamount Pictures Friday announced plans to release a new DVD box set of the Star Trek feature films in Region 2.

Dubbed the 'Star Trek Motion Pictures DVD Collection,' the new set will contain the first nine Star Trek big screen outings, according to the Region 2 Project. It is currently scheduled to hit stores in the United Kingdom on November 18.

A special preview of the upcoming 'Star Trek Nemesis,' containing screensavers, wallpapers and trailers for the film, will be included in the set. Although 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' and 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan' have been given the two-disc special edition treatment over the past year, this collection will only contain the movies, not the extra features.

The collection is currently available for pre-order at Amazon.co.uk at a price of £68.99 (25% off the list price), and the site will ship the DVD collection as soon as it becomes available. Head over to this page to order the set and support TrekToday.

Please note that the collection is only set for release in Region 2 (Europe), and it is not yet known if it will be available in other parts of the world. The original article can be found here.
