Hello World!

Is there a specific reason why the world is against me? Today, my laptop problems took a dramatic turn for the worse (as chronicled in this Trek BBS thread), and as a result I'm now without my regular laptop for at least two weeks as it's being repaired by the manufacturer. Though I did for a change think to back up my crucial files before bringing the laptop to the computer store, I did lose all my recent mail, and won't be able to see it for at least the next two weeks. In other words, if you sent me important mail and want me to see it soon please re-send it.

In other news, this news is actually the first which has been automatically posted by the new news system. Yesterday I still had to manually transfer the news from the new design to the old design, but today I managed to modify the updater so that it automatically does that. What this also means is that, in case some of you are actually tasteless enough not to immediately fall in love with the new design, you'll still be able to use the old version as well. Things are really shaping up well - I'm still really hopeful everything will be able to go up this week.
