These were some of the major news items on January 13, 2000:

  • AICN Series V Rumours
    According to Ain't It Cool News, a focus group session was held to test out ideas for the next Trek series. The three reported premises were Starfleet Academy, a type of Navy SEALS series, and Birth of the Federation.

  • 'Fair Haven' Overnight Rating
    The first Voyager episode of the year, 'Fair Haven,' scored a 4.4 rating, 7 share. This figure was an increase from the previous month's reruns, but down from the last first-run episode, 'Pathfinder.'

Today's Television Listings

  • TNN will be showing the Next Generation episodes 'Encounter at Farpoint, Part I' at 10:00 p.m eastern time, with 'Encounter at Farpoint, Part II' at 11:00 p.m.

  • In Canada, Space! will be showing the Enterprise episode 'Broken Bow' at 8:00 p.m eastern time.

  • In the United Kingdom, Sky One will show the DS9 episodes 'The House of Quark' at 14:00 GMT with 'Equilibrium' at 15:00. Enterprise's 'Broken Bow' will be shown at 16:00. Thanks go out to the Great Link for this!
