He won't be on Series V, but Tim Russ is embarking on another enterprise - the forthcoming potential feature project, 'Metal War - Robot Dawn.'

"I'm keeping as busy as possible now that I'm not a prisoner of Paramount," Russ joked at the recent Holodiction convention in Sydney, Australia. The actor was only too pleased to tell the audience about 'Metal War,' a science fiction production, set to involve both live-action and CGI elements. However, Russ didn't reveal whether he would be acting in the film, or working behind the scenes as a writer or director.

Currently, the project is a completed two-hour script, ready for development as a feature film or a pilot for a television series. A website, Metal-War.com, has been set up in order to attract investors to the production. The site, which includes a trailer for the project, says that it has "well-known genre talent attached" and that it is targeted at the "18-35 year old demographic."

The plot centres around an experimental project entitled "The Machine Consciousness Program," which enables robots to experience awareness. The robots are unable to handle emotions, and set out to wreak havoc in the world. The rebellion is supressed, but four years later, the robots return, organised into a band of criminals by an unknown person.
