History repeats itself with Bakula and Candice Bergen on an upcoming episode of Boston Legal.

As reported at TV Guide, Bakula will guest star in an upcoming episode of Boston Legal alongside Candice Bergen, who plays Shirley Schmidt on the show. He will play an old beau of Schmidt, with whom she meets up at a bar.

Boston Legal will wrap on December 14, being one of the last scripted television shows to do so. Other shows have shut down earlier as they have run out of fresh scripts. Only a handful of other shows will film new shows in January.

The series creator/executive producer, David E. Kelley, hurried to complete three scripts days before the beginning of the strike. A fourth script was unable to be completed in time and production will end with episode fourteen, now in production. Kelly is known for his quick writing abilities.
