Berman: Braga 'Isn't Going Anywhere'

Franchise head Rick Berman recently put paid to the reports that Brannon Braga would be stepping back from Enterprise this season.

"I think that was misunderstood and misinterpreted, or misstated," Berman reportedly told the Star Trek Communicator. "I think to say he 'might be stepping back' would not really be true."

During a trip to the United Kingdom last month, Dominic Keating (Malcolm Reed) told SFX and the BBC that Braga would "take a back seat" and would become more of a "last draft consultant", with co-executive producer Manny Coto assuming day-to-day responsibilities.

"I think that Manny Coto will be stepping up a bit more and be more involved in the running of the show," Berman told the Communicator, "and that has to do with the fact that both Brannon and I are in the early stages of working on another project." But that doesn't mean they'll be leaving Enterprise behind: "Brannon is not going anywhere."
