Leonard Nimoy Interview

Eric Moro at the Mothership has put up an interview with Leonard Nimoy (Spock), conducted during his recent appearance at an LA Virgin Megastore. In the interview Nimoy also spoke about the future of Trek, including the Excelsior Campaign:

"Are you talking about the campaign for George Takei?" queries Nimoy. "I think it's a charming idea. I haven't given it an awful lot of thought. There was supposed to be a demonstration at Paramount a few days ago? Did that happen?"

Regarding his own involvement with Trek, Nimoy mentions that in principle he would be open to appearing as Spock again:

"All of these things take a phone call," says Nimoy. "Somebody has to call me and say, 'This is what we're doing and this is what we want you to do. Would you like to be involved?' When I get the phone call, then it depends on the scheduling and it depends on the project. But they have to call me."

In the full interview, Nimoy does mention that, although he would like to appear as Spock again, he has no real aspirations to direct again. He also talks about several of the projects he has been working on recently, including the 'Alien Voices' audio novels.

Thanks go out to David Daeinejad, Elaine Butler and Gustavo Leao for mailing me about this!
