Stewart To Step Up To Academic Role

Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard), the new Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield, will make his first official visit to the University this month.

A guest on Michael Parkinson's show last Saturday, Stewart noted that his Yorkshire roots have never left him even in Hollywood, reported The University of Huddersfield news.

On Wednesday March 10th and Thursday March 11th, Stewart will be introduced to University staff and students, giving a presentation to the Drama and Media faculty and student body. In addition, he will give a lecture to the staff and visit the Students' Union.

During his appearance on Parkinson's show on March 6th, Stewart discussed his recent Broadway appearance and said that he was glad to be back in White Rose county.
