Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) directs fellow Star Trek alumnus Connor Trinneer (Trip Tucker) this Friday night on CBS in Close To Home.

A press release at The Futon Critic notes that the episode "Privilege", which had been previously scheduled to air in 2005, concerns a crime that may have been racially motivated and a kidnapping that may shed light on a homicide. Co-Executive Producer Carol Barbee wrote the episode directed by Dawson, who also directed Trinneer in Star Trek: Enterprise episodes as "Awakening" and "Chosen Realm."

CBS notes that the lead character, prosecutor Annabeth Chase, is forced to find new evidence when a judge throws out as inadmissible statements made by a suspect. Chase has a perfect conviction record and takes on cases from her own community, where she is raising a small child. Trinneer plays a character named Eric Foster.

Close To Home debuted on Tuesday nights for CBS but was switched to Friday nights, changing places with Brannon Braga's Threshold. The series' ratings rose in its new time slot following Ghost Whisperer, while Threshold was cancelled after bringing in low Tuesday night numbers.

"Privilege" airs Friday, January 13th at 9 p.m. on CBS.
