Hello World!

As of yesterday, I have a newfound respect for all those sites that already organised live chats before. As reported a few days ago, yesterday evening at 6:00pm PST we organised a live chat at SSW with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, two of the Andromeda writers. Unfortunately, what I didn't immediately realise when first thinking of the chat was that 6:00pm PST in fact translates to 3:00am here, so I had to get up in the middle of the night to be there on time. Five minutes after the chat had begun, the fun really started, as I discovered the true meaning of the word 'multitasking', having to cycle between the actual chat window, the list of questions I'd collected, ten windows with people sending in questions, and later on also people on ICQ sending in messages. Fortunately Amy was also there to receive and format most of the questions, but this was still one of the more adrenaline-inducing experiences I've ever had. It was lots of fun, though - maybe if it could be arranged we should organise some kind of chat here on TrekToday as well.

Poll Results

Below are the results of the most recent TrekToday poll:

What upcoming episode are you most looking forward to?
'Drive' 29% - (239 Votes)
No idea what they are about 24.1% - (199 Votes)
'Flesh and Blood' 15.4% - (127 Votes)
'Repression' 12% - (99 Votes)
'Inside Man' 11.7% - (97 Votes)
'Imperfection' 4.9% - (41 Votes)
'Critical Care' 2.5% - (21 Votes)

Total Votes: 823

I'm surprised there was so little interest in 'Critical Care' - as it is a Holodoc episode, for me that's definitely one of the episodes I'm most anticipating.

In the new poll, you're asked if you saw the pilot episode of the new 'Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda' series, 'Under The Night':

Happy Birthday!

Today would have been the 81st birthday of Janos Prohaska, who played the Horta, the Mugato, and several other costumed aliens on the Original Series, had he not passed away in 1974.
