The official Star Trek site has put up new official info for 'Repression', the fifth episode of Voyager's seventh season. Executive Producer Kenneth Biller has previously described the episode as a 'psychological thriller' involving Maquis/Starfleet tensions, and the official synopsis seems to confirm this:

Aboard the U.S.S. Voyager, former members of the Maquis appear to be singled out in a rash of violent attacks. Before long, the safety of the entire crew is in jeopardy. When Tuvok takes charge of the investigation he becomes frustrated at the lack of a logical motive, but soon makes some rather startling discoveries.

In addition to this, the site also has info on the creative team behind the episode. 'Repression' is based on a story by Kenneth Biller himself, with the teleplay being written by Mark Haskell Smith. The director for the episode is Trek veteran Rick Kolbe, which makes 'Repression' his second episode for the seventh season, after 'Drive'.

And finally, the site has the following list of characters for the episode:

  • Chell. Chell was the Bolian Maquis crew member assigned to Tuvok for field training in 'Learning Curve', and was played by Derek Mc Grath.
  • Tabor. Ensign Tabor tried to resign his commission in 'Nothing Human'.
  • Jor
  • Teero
  • Doyle
  • Yosa
It's great to see Voyager apparently make good use of continuity in this episose. The original episode news can be found in the Continuum's Production News section.
