Russ Looking Forward To '20 Good Years'

Tim Russ (Tuvok) chatted with fans about his upcoming plans, including short films he intends to direct and his recent casting in a recurring role in the new sitcom 20 Good Years.

"I was just cast as a recurring character named Marty," Russ explained to fans at Roddenberry.com. "We will be shooting the pilot within the next week and a half. By June there should be [an] announcement."

The series stars John Lithgow and Jeffery Tambor. (More information is available at TV.com.)

Russ is due to start shooting a short film in July called Story By Amy Niles, a follow-up to Déjà Vu, which starred Chase Masterson (Leeta) and Garrett Wang (Kim), and Eye Of The Beholder, with Masterson and Menina Fortuno (Maras).

Tuvok remains his most memorable role, said Russ, who said that he would like to have done "any show where Tuvok had to borrow from humanity to overcome an obstacle. They did it once on the original with Spock; they back his logic into a corner, to where he would have to gamble or go on a hunch and explore the illogical." Another unforgettable moment was exiting the turbolift in a dream sequence, for which he wore a robe but flashed the crew.

For more, including Russ' recollections of working on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and his CDs, including plans to play music at the anniversary convention in Las Vegas, the full chat is here
