TrekBBS, the messageboard created in 1999 for discussion of all things Star Trek, has been moved to a new server and from UBB.threads to vBulletin.

On Saturday the 24th, after careful preparation and hard work by technical guru AntonyF, the TrekBBS messageboard reopened at its new home, now located here.

While originally created for discussion of Star Trek, the board has expanded in the past few years. Forums have been added over the years in response to poster interest. In addition to Star Trek related forums devoted to the Star Trek shows, movies, books and fan-related creations, there are forums devoted to other science fiction shows such as Stargate Atlantis and Doctor Who, a forum for television shows; including a separate one for Lost.

For other interests, TrekBBS offers a forum for controversial topics and several lounges in which posters can relax and get to know one another. A new forum was created at the time of the move to vBulletin, for sports and fitness fans where they can discuss their favorite football teams or best exercise routines.

Posters are happy about the move and new forum. "Thank you so much for your continued good work!" said Quo Vadimus. "...It's been a monumental task and the powers that might be have pulled it off very well indeed. Thanks to AntonyF and the rest of the team," said Zion Ravescene. While Turbo enjoyed the new zippy server, the addition of a Sports forum excited him the most. "We got a sports forum!" he exclaimed happily. "Thank yoooooooooooouuuuu!!!!"

If you've not yet visited TrekBBS, why not drop by, have a look and stay a while. It's located here.
