With the Star Trek season one box sets due out in the U.S. and the UK at the end of the month, some early advertising clips for the set have leaked out.

TrekPulse has obtained a trailer advertising the set, which is available for download here. The trailer features a quick introduction to each of the original series' main characters, as well as a closeup view of the box set. The first season box set is yellow, and contains eight discs. Special features include commentaries, a spotlight on William Shatner and a featurette on Spock.

In other Trek DVD news, TVShowsonDVD is reporting that the third season set of Star Trek has been delayed by a week. Originally scheduled to be released on December 7th, the set will now be available on the 14th. It is not yet known how this will affect the release of the Complete Series DVD release of Star Trek, which was scheduled to be released on the 7th as well; it is assumed the set will be pushed back to the 14th as well, at the very least.

TVShowsonDVD is also reporting that the fifth season DVD set of Star Trek: Voyager has been delayed a week as well. The set is now scheduled to be released on November 9th; originally it was set to be released on November 2nd. The sixth and seventh seasons release dates are unaffected thus far.

The season one box set of Star Trek is availble for preorder from Amazon.com here in the U.S. and here in the UK.
