  • The official Star Trek site has posted a new science round-up, looking at several Star Trek technologies that are now being developed in real life. These include the warp drive, the Emergency Medical Hologram, and the tractor beam.

  • George F. Slavin, who co-wrote the Original Series episode 'The Mark of Gideon,' passed away on the 19th of April of natural causes at the age of 85. According to the official Star Trek site, Slavin's non-Trek credits include the Bonanza and Charlie's Angels television series.

  • Psi Phi has posted the full credits list for 'Natural Law,' last week's new Voyager episode.

  • And Jamahl Epsicokhan at Star Trek: Hypertext has posted his review of the episode, in which he awarded the episode just 2 stars. He called it "not unpleasant, but incredibly uneventful and content-free."

  • Killian Melloy at the Wigglefish has posted his review of 'Avatar, Book Two,' S.D. Perry's second book in the DS9 Relaunch.

  • Two Star Trek alumni have been nominated for the Golden Duck children's Sci-Fi books awards: Melissa Scott (writer of two Trek novels) and David Gerrold (who wrote 'The Trouble With Tribbles'). Thanks go out to Psi Phi for this!

  • Roger Chang at TechTV has posted a report of a recent appearance by Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) on the channel, when the former TNG star participated in a "Who's the bigger geek?" contest. Thanks go out to Joseph Zollo for this!
