Hello World!

I just knew that Fate couldn't smile kindly on me for a change. As you may remember, a few days ago I finally got my laptop back, after it was in repair for two months. Today I had just finished re-installing all my software, and I had even got ICQ running again, when I noticed the blinking red light of the battery running low - which was strange, considering the power adapter was plugged in. When looking more closely at it, it turned out the power adapter wasn't actually doing anything - the light was off, and it was completely cold. Half an hour later the folks at the computer store confirmed my fears - the adapter had died. I can expect a new one sometime in the next few weeks. Sigh.
