Recurring Star Trek guest actors Paul Dooley (Enabran Tain on Deep Space Nine) and Susan Diol (Danara Pel on Voyager) will co-star in an NBC sitcom pilot, Touch 'Em All McCall.

The comedy stars Tom Selleck as a once-famous baseball player who moves back to his hometown and coaches a local farm team. Diol will play an old flame of Selleck's, while Dooley will play her father, the owner of a popular diner in town.

Actor Gregory Jbara will have a role as the proprietor of a local hotel, which would become recurring if the series is picked up for the fall. Jay Tarses, Norman Steinberg and Michael Brandman will produce the pilot for NBC, with filming on April 16 at 7 p.m. before a live audience at Culver Studios.

Dooley, who recently appeared on ABC's Once and Again and in the film Insomnia, portrayed the head of Cardassia's Obsidian Order on Deep Space Nine. Initially a sinister villain, Enabran Tain evolved into a complex character with unexpected ties to Garak, played by Andrew Robinson.

Diol appeared on two Voyager episodes, "Lifesigns" and "Resolutions", as Vidiian scientist Danara Pel, who was romanced by the Doctor. She is most famous as a daytime soap actress, where her credits include Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and a memorable stint as the morally ambiguous Angela Holliday on One Life To Live.
