Complete Box Sets For R2 Announced

Region 2 Trek fans will soon be able to own the entire run of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in one complete set when the box sets of those shows are released in the upcoming month an a half.

The R2 Project announced that the complete box set of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine would be available on September 27th. The set contains all 176 episodes, as well as approximately seven hours of extra features. The total running time for the set is 7,744 minutes.

The complete set of Star Trek: The Next Generation is due in the UK on October 18th. The set contains all 178 episodes of the show's run, and also features seven hours of bonus materials. In addition to those features, the Next Generation box set also contains a set of exlusive film stills. The running time for this set is 7,917 minutes.

Both sets contain the seven seasons individually packaged in boxes and then packed in a large outer box containing each show's logo and some artwork. No release date has been set for the region one complete box sets as of yet, though they are tentatively expected at the end of the year.
