  • In the May 11, 2001 issue of Entertainment Weekly, Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) explains why she wouldn't vote for Arnold Schwarzenegger as the governor of California: "It's hard to say no to the Terminator, but I'm a Democrat." Thanks go out to the official Jeri Lynn Ryan Homepage for this!

  • British SFX Magazine recently published a top-20 list of the best Fantasy and TV shows, and according to the Great Link Star Trek did very well. The Original Series came in at no.1, Deep Space Nine at no.10 and The Next Generation at no.12. Voyager was unable to make the list.

  • MediaTrek.com has posted a digitised version of the original video that was sent out to stations and advertisers to promote the launch of Star Trek: Voyager. The 7.4MB RealVideo file is 4 minutes and 30 seconds long, and provides some interesting early 'Caretaker' scenes (featuring Janeway's old hairstyle) and interview segments with several of the series' producers and actors.

  • Three Trek fan clubs in Southern California (the Klingon Armada, the U.S.S. Nathan Hale and the U.S.S. Ulysses) will be hosting the Feast of Q'tohmer charity event on the 23rd and 24th of June. Admission to the event will be $37.50, with all proceeds going to childrens' charities.

  • William Shatner (James T. Kirk) addressed a group of graduates at William Woods College in Fulton yesterday, according to the Trekker Newsletter, and also received a honourary degree from the college. "The key to everything you study and to everything you learn is passion," he told the graduates. "Young people are supposed to be passionate. I’m talking about a passion for life."

  • The people at TrekNews.de send word they've opened a new German-language message board: StarTrekBoard.de.
