Hollywood A-list: Star Trek Enterprise wants you!

The show's producers and casting directors are reportedly looking for a "star name" to appear in the time-travel outing "Carpenter Street", according to FilmJerk.com. The hypothetical A-lister will fill the role of the (currently unnamed) villain in the episode, which is set in present-day Detroit.

According to Enterprise's casting sheets, the villain is a "slimy, contemporary, and urban petty criminal" between the ages of 25 and 40. Shooting is slated to begin on Friday, October 10, and is expected to wrap seven working days later on Monday, October 20.

"Carpenter Street" is likely to air during November sweeps, one of three ratings periods throughout the year which determine advertising rates. Consequently, most networks choose to pepper sweeps episodes with big plot developments and special guest stars. Previous Enterprise sweeps episodes include "Fallen Hero", which featured Emmy Award-winning actress Fionnula Flanagan as V'Lar, and "First Flight", guest starring Oscar-winner Keith Carradine as A.G. Robinson.

Previous rumours about "Carpenter Street" indicated that the episode ties in with Enterprise's Xindi story arc (story). Archer and T'Pol reportedly travel back in time to Detroit in order to thwart a Xindi plot to kidnap 21st-century humans.
