Hello World!

It really puzzles me why rerun season starts so early here in the Netherlands. It's only early June, and already many of the stations have begun to air only repeats. Not only is this annoying, it really has me wondering why the stations don't simply continue with original programming for a few weeks - almost no one has already gone away on holiday, so you'd think they'd be able to score some good ratings if they'd offer some new shows now. On the other hand, next week the European Championships will of course start, so I guess that will count as enough original programming for half the nation, but what about the half that doesn't like football?
