UPN has premiered the trailer for Star Trek: Enterprise's "The Council", which airs next Wednesday night.

During this episode, directed by David Livingston from a script by Manny Coto, Archer confronts the Xindi Council as T'Pol and Reed lead an away team into the heart of a Sphere.

[A crewmember falls into a mechanical pit.]

[T'Pol looks up, revealing a rash on her throat.]
[One of the Sphere Builders speaks.]
Sphere Builder: "The Xindi weapon is days away from completion."

EVERY SECOND MATTERS IN THEIR DESPERATE RESCUE MISSION...

[In the Xindi council chamber, an Insectoid attacks Archer.]
[Archer is thrown to the floor.]
[Ships fly over the Xindi weapon.]
Xindi-Reptilian: "Target Enterprise!"

...AS THE FATE OF EARTH HANGS IN THE BALANCE.

[T'Pol flies a shuttlepod.]
[A Reptilian raises his head.]
[A Reptilian hand holds a blade to Degra's head.]

[Three crewmembers in biosuits with weapons walk along a narrow corridor.]
Reed: "I suggest have to work fast."
[Two crewmembers in biosuits raise their weapons.]
[A large grappling claw grabs a crewmember.]
[Another crewmember fires a phase pistol.]
[Weapons fire hits the claw.]
[The claw fires upon the trapped crewmember, who screams and vanishes.]

[Dissolve to photo of Archer.]
