Voyager Ratings Consistent, But Low

As Star Trek: Voyager gets closer to its series finale, at least one thing has to be said about the show's ratings: They are consistent. Unfortunately, they are consistently low.

According to new reports written by Justin Capone for the Star Trek Nielsen Ratings Information Database, both 'Friendship One' and 'Natural Law' scored only a 3.0 rating / 5 share. That is similar to the 'Q2' rating and one tenth of a ratings point up from 'Author, Author.'

Elsewhere on UPN, the ratings news has also been rather disappointing. In the same week that 'Friendship One' aired, 'WWF Smackdown!' dropped to an all-time ratings low with a 3.7 rating / 6 share. This is likely partly due to 'Smackdown!' having to compete with the second 'Survivor' series, which has hurt ratings for all other Thursday shows as well.

Three more Voyager episodes are still scheduled to air this season, including the May 23 series finale 'Endgame.' The show's ratings will have to increase by at least 15% to match last year's May Sweeps average.
