Hello World!

Having enjoyed his previous adventures Around the World in 80 Days and Pole to Pole, I was looking forward to the premiere of Michael Palin's Sahara last night.

It certainly didn't disappoint, with Palin's witty voice-overs guiding us through the trials and tribulations of his travels in North Africa. On every trip, he always seems to end up some sort of steam bath, and true to form, within the first ten minutes of episode one, Palin was on a wet tiled floor being contorted into weird and wonderful positions. Other highlights included Palin bartering for a pair of truly horrid yellow slippers and a camel's head, on sale for a mere four pounds. Of course, the best thing is that it's on the ABC - no ads!
