Hello World!

I wish someone would tell me when there's a holiday in the US. I just finished surfing past all the big pro sites, only to notice many of them hadn't been updated at all. After already getting visions of some kind of information highway breakdown throughout the US, I noticed on Cinescape a short announcement warning visitors they wouldn't be updating today because of Labor Day. Sigh. Why isn't on Labor Day on the 1st of May anyway? That's what it's in most of Europe, I think, and so I always thought it was also that date in the rest of the world.
