Hertzler and Lang know their stuff cold, and better, what has not been pre-established for them they prove more than capable of imagining for themselves. Drawing on the Klingon mythos established in the newer Trek series, as well as John Ford's influential Klingon-centric novel The Final Reflection, the authors depict a warrior race caught up in a feverish struggle and loving every skirmish.

The book was awarded a score of 4 out of 5 in the full review.
