Why is it that on some days there is absolutely no news to find at all? Half of yesterday's news was already just left over from earlier this week, but today there really is nothing at all to report on. I suppose the start of the first rerun period of this year took away some people's inspiration, or maybe everyone is already anticipating tonights 'Dune' airing (3:00pm on the Sci-Fi Channel, to also add in the obligatory plug for our advertisers).
It's actually a pity we don't have the Sci-Fi Channel here in the Netherlands anymore - they pulled out of Europe right before they started airing their own original programming. Ever since, I've started missing them more and more - I already liked seeing 'Battlestar Galactica' reruns, but it's a really a pity to miss shows like the Original Series, 'Farscape' and of course Dune. What will now probably happen is that I'll end up buying 'Dune' on video or DVD once it comes out in the US, instead of waiting until it airs here, similar to what I'll probably do when 'Farscape' comes out on DVD. Again moving to the United States one day has become a more attractive option - I'm sure I'd be able to win back the relocation costs within the year just by getting a US cable subscription.

Thanks for voting! In the new poll, related to yesterday's news item about the DS9 novel relaunch, you're asked if you will be buying those new novels.
Today is the 19th birthday of Brian Bonsall, who appeared in several TNG episodes as Alexander Rozhenko. The IMDB informs us that for his 18th birthday last year, he got a black armband tattoo, should you be interested in hearing that.
