November 4, 2002 - 2:04 AMHello World! I just discovered that a classic computer game actually does work on Windows XP. Theme Hospital has to be one of the wackiest computer games ever created.
For those who have never had the delight of playing this game, it sets you up as a hospital owner, who must build and run a hospital. But this is no ordinary clinic. Here patients suffer from afflictions like 'Bloaty Head' and 'Hairyitis.' I quote:
TV Personalities
A disease known as the "Lazy man's" disease. This is caught by those people who have a habit of coming home at 5pm, sitting down in front of the television an not getting in up until the following morning. This leads to you badly impersonating unknown and not cared for celebrities. If you are not spoken to by a psychiatrist, then you will be ridiculed for life, and will not be able to leave the comfort of your lounge for the rest of your life.
Cause - Daytime television
Symptoms - Delusions of being able to present a cookery show
Cure - A trained Psychiatrist must convince the patient to sell their TV and buy a radio
Classic, classic game. :)
