Hello World!

Today, I find, inspiration deserts me. Perhaps it's because I've just been to the dentist again and the entire right side of my face is numb. Or it could just be that I've got writer's block.

Well, it's official – the next Discworld book is soon to be out. Written by Terry Pratchett, a man I consider to be something of a literary comic genius, 'The Truth' is one of the books on my 'most anticipated list', right up there with 'Harry Potter and the order of Phoenix'. Which brings me to the Harry Potter movie. Having only discovered the magic of this children's book's series this year, I've had some mixed reaction about the movie idea in the first place. First off, there have been some real shocking flicks made out of good books. Secondly, I'm glad that Rowling stuck to her guns over casting – Osmont, whom Spielberg wanted, might be a great actor but the role is actually for someone with a British accent – and somehow I don't think ' The Sixth Sense' star would look all that great with black hair. Thirdly: Whohooo! John Cleese will be in it! And finally: I hope to god that it manages to capture most of the magic (pun intended) that made the books so successful – there's got to be nothing worse than a disappointed horde of kids and adults alike who are quite likely to turn out in record numbers.
