'Impulse' photo - copyright Paramount PicturesUPN Wednesday night premiered the trailer for next week's Enterprise outing.

Entitled "Impulse", the episode centres around a Vulcan crew which has gone mad after being stranded in the Delphic Expanse. David Livingston directed from a teleplay by Enterprise story editor Jonathan Fernandez.

The 20-second promo is available for download online at The Daily Trekker. For those of you with slower connections, here's a transcript:

UPN WEDNESDAY ON AN ALL-NEW 'STAR TREK ENTERPRISE'

[Archer carries T'Pol into sickbay and places her on a bio-bed.]
[T'Pol gazes into the Vulcan ship.]
[The NX-01 flies through space.]

THERE IS A DARKNESS DEEP WITHIN THE DELPHIC EXPANSE

[Two Vulcan crew mates walk down a corridor on their destroyed vessel.]
[The Vulcan "zombies" congregate around T'Pol.]
[T'Pol suddenly wakes up.]
[Camera zooms into the eye of a Vulcan "zombie".]
[T'Pol stands with her back to the wall, terrified.]

SOME SAY IT DRIVES A VULCAN MAD

[Archer tries to force a struggling T'Pol down onto the bio-bed.]
[T'Pol is surrounded by the Vulcan "zombies".]
[T'Pol grabs Archer's neck as he tries to push her down.]
[Doctor Phlox locks in restraints around T'Pol.]
[Close-up of T'Pol's face as she lets out an ear-piercing scream.]
[T'Pol's face shatters. The camera flies through towards the Star Trek Enterprise logo and promo photo.]
