Kate Mulgrew Interviews

By Christian
September 3, 2000 - 10:50 PM

Totally Kate! has been updated with transcripts of two recent interviews with Kate Mulgrew (Kathryn Janeway). The first interview originally appeared in the October 2000 issue of the official Star Trek Magazine, and deals mostly with the past sixth season. In it, however, Mulgrew also talks about what she expects for her character's future:

I think she would always seek out Chakotay. [...] And Tom Paris, and her beloved Neelix, and B'Elanna. [...] I think [the relationship with Seven of Nine] could continue to evolve very nicely in a sort of student-mentor way. [...] Seven will have so many difficulties in Federation space, I think. She'll need to find a different kind of sea legs, and an even more provocative way to show her humanity will be when this ship finally lands: who will Seven be when she has to finally and quite deliberately confront her humanity?"

More can be found in the full interview.

Also new is the transcript of an article that appears in the Star of September 12, dealing with Mulgrew's Brentwood home.

Thanks go out partly to Gustavo Leao for this!
