Russell Hornsby recently offered a sneak peak at Haunted a new genre series that will air on Enterprise network UPN in the Fall.
"I would say that the show is about cross-worlds — the supernatural, the paranormal," Hornsby told the Sci Fi Wire. "It's about a man dealing with his life here and his life on the other side and trying to figure out what is real."
Haunted will star Matthew Fox - best know for his role as Charlie Salinger in Party of Five - as Frank Taylor, an ex-cop who gains the power to communicate with the deceased after a near death experience. Russell Hornsby will play Taylor's former partner, Marcus Bradshaw. He previously starred on Gideon's Crossing as Dr. Aaron Boies.
"There are a lot of things I'm still trying to figure out about [Bradshaw], but I think he's going to be an aide to Matthew's character, to pull Frank out of that world," Hornsby said. "Hopefully, as time goes on, Marcus will battle with the supernatural, he'll deal with family and friends, and he'll be a major cog in some of the show's problem-solving.
"Haunted is actually a detective/police drama with scary elements to it," he went on. "It's not a scary show with cops. I think we have something original, I really do. This is a high-end product, and it will stand on its own. It won't have to be compared to anything, because there's nothing to compare it to."
Haunted will air on UPN after Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Tuesday nights come the Fall. The original interview with Russell Hornsby can be found here at the Sci Fi Wire.
