Bethesda Softworks has launched an official Star Trek gaming site with news, images and information about Star Trek: Legacy and Star Trek: Tactical Assault.

Star Trek Games has three new Xbox 360 screenshots of Legacy in the Art section, concept art for Tactical Assault, information and technical support for both games and forums for fans and gamers to discuss their plans.

The German site GameRadio talked to Gary Conti, Associate Producer of Legacy, who said that Mad Doc Software has had the game in development since 2002 and explained, "We are remaining very mindful of sacred Trek canon while putting together a really exciting and revealing experience."

Conti said that he could not name the number of available missions but said that there would be similar amounts for the Enterprise, original series and Next Generation eras. "During specific missions, you will be involved with (to name a few) search and rescue, search and destroy, defensive coordination, subversion, stealth, and capture objectives," he noted. Rather than creating new races, the game focuses on developing existing species.

A new Star Trek: Legacy fan site has been launched, Deck One, designed "to provide analysis and personalised views about the latest game media, announcements and online press," according to webmaster Andrew Styles.

Finally, Star Trek Future Tense, a game for Star Trek Armada players, has a teaser trailer in anticipation of a release planned for the end of 2006. The trailer is here.
