Star Trek 40th anniversary celebrations reach London this weekend, as the UK's own Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard) heads up a list of celebrities at the official convention there.

Creation has details on its web site about other guests, including series regulars Walter Koenig (Chekov), George Takei (Sulu), Colm Meaney (Miles O'Brien), Casey Biggs (Damar), Connor Trinneer (Tucker) and Dominic Keating (Reed), plus special events including a cabaret performance by Takei, Koenig and Biggs.

Other guests include Suzie Plakson (K'Ehleyr), Bobby Clark (Gorn Captain), Barbara Luna (Marlena Moreau) and Layla Sarakalo ("Nuclear Wessels"). Most will sign autographs for a fee.

In addition to the cabaret, Takei, Koenig and Biggs will host a charity brunch and auction for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The classic blooper reel will be aired and there will be panels such as a discussion of the remastered original series episodes.

Fans in London may also want to take The Shed's "Star Trek Tube Tour".
