Star Trek has been voted the show most missed by British television viewers in a survey by a UK interactive TV firm.

BBC News reported that the original Star Trek came out first in a poll of more than 1000 viewers by Home Media Networks, followed by another genre series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The X-Files and Babylon 5 also made the list, as well as Stargate, which is still in production in North America.

"Of the 10 most popular shows that British auds miss, nine were U.S. programs," noted Variety. The British sitcom Fawlty Towers and sci-fi series Blake's 7 finished in the top 10 as well.

The survey asked audiences what show they would most like to see returning to their television sets, regardless of whether it was still being broadcast elsewhere in the world or available on DVD.
