The Region 2 release of the second season of Star Trek: Voyager on DVD will contain a feature not available in the North American edition of the set.

The R2 Project has reported that the boxed set of Voyager's second season includes a segment called "Designing the U.S.S Voyager", an extra not included on the U.S. release.

According to a Paramount release, "Designing the U.S.S Voyager" offers an in-depth look at the construction and depiction of the starship with veteran artist Rick Sternbach.

The segment includes rare photos and drawings of the ship.

Other features in the Region 2 release appear to be similar to those for the Region 1 set, including a special text trivia Version of "The 37's", interviews with executive producers Rick Berman, Michael Piller, Brannon Braga and Jeri Taylor, an exclusive interview with Tuvok actor Tim Russ, a new interview with Seska actress Martha Hackett, and a number of features on the visual effects and makeup on the show.
