Hello World!

I've been ill for the last week with a horrible ear infection in my left ear. All those people who told me I should go and get it sorted can now be very smug.

After being awake for most of Monday night with the horrid pain, I went to the doctor first thing the next morning. I was given a prescription for so many different kinds of tablets and ear drops that I've probably cost the NHS a small fortune.

I wasn't able to do much more than lie still on my right hand side. Every time I moved it felt like I was coming out of a sharp loop-the-loop on a particularly precarious roller coaster. Now while I like roller coasters very much, there is a time and a place for everything.

Finally, I have re-entered the land of the living. Just about.

Big smiles go out to everyone who wondered where I was. :)
