Hello World!

You probably won't believe this, but I'm actually typing this from my own laptop again! After nearly three months of first being in repair and then having no power adapter, I today went to the factory to have it repaired right there, and, amazingly, it is now fully operational. Of course, this didn't happen until after the expected amount of trouble - a manager at the firm had promised the laptop would be looked at today already (otherwise I'd never have traveled cross-country for it), but of course upon actually arriving there they first told me they couldn't just repair it on the same day, and it'd probably have to take the standard 10 working days before they'd have time to look at it. Some yelling fortunately convinced them otherwise, and at 4:00pm I could pick up the laptop again. So far everything seems to be working perfectly again, and even all my files still seem to have been preserved. This also means I'll finally be able to implement some improvements in the site I've been meaning to do for ages now - expect them in the coming weeks.

Happy Birthday!

Today is the 63rd birthday of Sally Kellerma, who appeared in the second TOS pilot 'Where No Man Has Gone Before' as Elizabeth Dehner. Also, yesterday was the 60th birtday of René Auberjonois. It's also the unofficial first anniversary of the showing of 'What You Leave Behind', the DS9 finale - click here for a BBS celebration thread!
