William Shatner (Captain Kirk) has left New Year's wishes for fans, the first of a regular series of videos he will be posting, and the actor also will be hosting a banquet.

ShatnerVision at LiveVideo.com has a message from the actor sitting in an office surrounded by black and white photographs, fidgeting as he says, "In the coming season...let's strive to do our best."

He mentioned his own work on Boston Legal and the game show Show Me the Money, "that was recently cancelled, so there's both good and bad in my life, as in anybody's", he noted. In addition, he recently fell off his motorcycle, so one of his New Year's resolutions is not to fall off it again.

Shatner said he hoped to welcome visitors to the web site again for future messages. In addition, according to the Associated Press (via CTV News), Shatner will emcee a banquet in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Space Camp, the Huntsville, Alabama institution which will have an induction banquet for its Hall of Fame in June.

This inaugural banquet will honour ten supporters and attendees of Space Camp, who will be determined by a committee. The date and location of the banquet have not yet been announced.
