Anthony Montgomery Stand-Up AdAnthony Montgomery (Travis Mayweather) will be showing off his comedic talents in Los Angeles later this month.

The Enterprise actor will debut his new stand-up act, From Midwest To Wild West, at the Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard. The performance is scheduled for one night only, on July 18 at the main stage.

During a recent chat at StarTrek.com, Montgomery said his serious role in the race relations play Dutchman prompted him to stretch his wings. "Because the piece is as heavy as it is, and my love of doing stand-up comedy, I figured let's go ahead and offset the weight of that and just have fun doing a standup comedy show," the actor told fans (story).

Numerous big-name comic talents have appeared on stage at the Comedy Store since its founding in 1972. These include current talk show hosts David Letterman and Jay Leno, Academy Award winners Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg (Guinan), and other comic luminaries such as Richard Pryor and Roseanne Barr.

Tickets for From Midwest To Wild West are $15. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. for a 9:00 p.m. start. To reserve seats, call 323-656-6225 or visit the Comedy Store. Further information on Anthony Montgomery is available at his official site.
